  • Site based \xe2\x80\x93 Shift is 14/7 *subject to change
  • Travel allowance provided
  • Camp Provided (Discovery Lodge)
  • Two-year project duration *subject to change
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of bid / construction schedules and estimates
  • Review the project budget, schedule, and project execution plan and identify any potential risks prior to project execution with Project and Construction Managers
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project HSE and Quality plans
  • Supporting the Project Manager and various disciplines to provide valuable planning coordination
  • Site management and administration of the project controls plan including cost management, project planning and subcontracts
  • Working with project management, operations, and home office teams and other department leads to produce the monthly job cost forecasts
  • Management of project turnover and close out
  • Coordinating construction tasks / sequences and subcontractors; building FIWPs in line with the project schedule
  • Maintaining positive internal and external client relations
  • Tracking and monitoring construction progress and issuing daily construction reports; maintaining a log of plan development, execution and percentage complete
  • Project process optimization for effective interface management
  • Ongoing updates to project risk management plan
  • Supporting the project Quality function by supporting the management of construction drawings, revisions and redlines
  • Providing continuing support to the Construction Manager with various tasks for effective project execution and ongoing process improvement
  • Participate in weekly cross discipline coordination meetings
  • Generate and track Request for Information (RFI)
  • Other duties as required
QualificationsExperience:
  • Ability to recognize risks and opportunities to a project and analyze them, determine associated costs, impact to schedules and creating mitigation plans
  • Experience working within the industrial construction industry
  • Ability to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, other managers, designers and supervisors.
  • The ability to succeed under strict timelines
  • The ability to work in a busy team environment
  • Great attention to detail and the ability creatively solve problems
  • Experience working in both the subcontractor and general contractor side of a project, focusing on project controls and general coordination
  • Ability to plan and organize construction activities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Construction and Oil and Gas is required
  • Certificate/diploma in a construction related field an asset
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Field Project Coordinator experience with Construction Contracting company in Oil and Gas project is considered an asset
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure on complex issues across multiple projects
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation.
