We are seeking a Coordinator, Construction Services (Mechanical) for one of our clients. This role provides the opportunity to manage medium-complexity construction contracts, collaborate with Client-Partners, and contribute to the delivery of infrastructure at their Cold Lake location. Key Responsibilities
As the Coordinator, Construction Services (Mechanical), you will manage and administer medium-complexity construction, professional services, and service contracts during construction to ensure compliance with requirements. Your responsibilities include:
Contract & Project Management
Manage and administer contracts to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality specifications.
Coordinate and solve day-to-day contractual problems.
Monitor and control schedules.
Review progress claims, negotiate and issue change orders, and address scope changes.
Manage contract financials, consultant construction reviews, and third-party testing.
Stakeholder & Client-Partner Relations
Engage in daily discussions and negotiations with contractors, consultants, and Client-Partners.
Liaise with Client-Partner representatives on contract-related risks and issues.
Coordinate activities with site teams and other service lines.
Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with industry and stakeholders.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Maintain site activity records, including photos and reports.
Ensure quality standards are met in line with corporate and Client-Partner expectations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, industrial security, and environmental requirements.
Other Duties
Support or lead business development activities.
Perform other duties as assigned to support site operations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Minimum: College diploma in engineering, applied science, or related field, with at least four years of relevant experience, or the equivalent.
Preferred: Certification in an applicable field (e.g., Certified Engineering Technologist).
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of best practices, methods, trends, and legislation in construction.
Strong understanding of construction products and materials.
Familiarity with project, contract, and risk management principles.
Knowledge of health and safety management practices.
Abilities
Proficiency in applicable computer software and operating systems.
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Ability to apply project, contract, and risk management techniques to construction and consultant contracts.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Reliability Security Clearance.
Must comply with the organization's Code of Business Conduct.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, to collaborate with Client-Partners, contractors, and project teams.
Working Conditions
Primarily construction site environment; basic safety equipment required.
Some work in a typical office environment with occasional travel.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $79,067 - $102,788
