We provide trade service within division 7 and work in new multi-family residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects and building restoration. Our office is in Central Burnaby. We've got 10 team members in the office and 50+ in the field.
We are hiring for a Construction Coordinator to join our team. The Construction Coordinator will assist the Project Managers in handling job site activities, reviewing site conditions, supporting the field staff with scope execution and over sight in compliance with construction documents and additional tasks as they relate to on site work process.
We are looking for someone who enjoys putting pieces together and seeing the final result through collective effort.
Your contributions
Plan, organize and see out construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
Supporting field staff by communicating details and overseeing application
Attend trade meetings, consultant meetings and other relevant site meetings as required by projects
Site review of applications to confirm conformance to details
Prepare site quality checklist and site progress reports
Prepare site observation reports
Confirm material inventory for upcoming jobs, order materials as needed with purchaser
Liase with Consultants, Engineers and Superintendents
Promote a safe work culture
Coordinating deliveries of material and equipment with suppliers and vendors
Creating schedules for workers and subcontractors
Maintaining a daily log of construction site operations and identifying any gaps or areas that need to be addressed
Implementing techniques and strategies that are both efficient and cost-effective
Qualifications
Diploma in Building Technology, Architectural Technology, or a related field
Minimum 3 years experience with building envelope systems, firestopping, or construction materials
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, with strong Excel skills required
Understanding project specifications (MasterFormat) and Canadian construction documents is required
Experience with BC Building Code and Fire Code is an asset
Strong attention to detail with a diligent and organized work approach
Knowledgeable or experience with building envelope, fire stopping, fire protection or similar
On-site supervisor and leadership experience required
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Ability to provide drawings, details, technical information, instructions, resources and support needed to make a project successful
Demonstrated ability to see projects through to completion
Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record

Position is meant to be 80% on-site and 20% office-based with site reporting via our cloud construction management platform
Working hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, or as required by job site conditions
