Job Description

SUMMARY

The Construction AutoCAD Architectural Technician is an integral member of the project team responsible for creating drawings for building development projects of varying size and complexity. The Construction AutoCAD Technician is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project drawings, under the direction of a Project Manager (PM)

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the PM in the drafting and preliminary schedules Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes. Ability to follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings using company and drafting standards. Accuracy and effectiveness in electronic drafting. Coordinate filing, storage and retrieval of both manual and electronic drawings. Maintain, support and operate associated plotters and printers. Perform drawing and technology research. Coordinate with designers, technicians and other personnel to incorporate concepts and information into drawing packages. Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight. Review drawings to construction teams and engineers to provide adjustments as necessary Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of Architectural Technologist Diploma Minimum of 5 years of experience in completing Architectural AutoCAD drawings Proficient in MS Project and the MS Office Suite of products Knowledge of the building development/redevelopment industry Familiarity with construction methods and the building codes Strong communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills Include with submission: 1.
