We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting project management efforts, closing bids and ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for the construction industry.
Duties
Assist in the planning and coordination of construction projects from inception to completion in accordance with the project drawings and specifications;
Support project managers in monitoring project progress and performance metrics;
Ensure projects meet targets and objectives of profitability, quality, safety and schedule;
Manage all aspects of the project including schedules, budget, labor, equipment, materials, safety and project performance;
Prepare monthly project billings;
Lead weekly/biweekly project site meetings;
Conduct regular site reviews;
Communicate regularly with clients, project owners, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Deal with all day-to-day correspondence and manage project paperwork;
Responding to and resolving issues as they may arise;
Manage all aspects of a construction project from pre-bid and contract negotiation through project close-out.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in construction project management of a minimum of 2 years.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
Proficiency in project management software, Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations .
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
