We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Construction and Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Vancouver, BC. This role can be as well remote if you live close to a Purdys shop so you get can into physical shop to reference operations and fixtures.
Job Overview: This individual will report to the Manager of Visual and Store Design and the main objectives will be to coordinate construction projects between Purdys, the General Contractor and the Architects/Designers to achieve timelines, budgets and Purdys quality standards. In addition, you will coordinate and execute retail store maintenance projects with external trades and internal team members.

You will have the opportunity to work on:

  • Project Coordination: Lead the coordination and setup of construction projects, managing details, timelines, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Cost Efficiency and Design Enhancement: Identify cost-saving opportunities and design improvements by reviewing Tenant Design Criteria and leasing schedules.
  • Effective Collaboration: Act as a central point of contact for landlord, tenants, designers, and contractors, ensuring smooth communication and project execution.
  • Design Package Management: Coordinate construction drawing packages for approval, collaborating closely with Designers and Architects.
  • Pre-construction Preparation: Engage consultants, prepare necessary documentation, and facilitate kick-off meetings to ensure project expectations are aligned.
  • Budget Management and Maintenance: Maintain project budgets, handle administrative tasks, manage maintenance programs, and uphold store design standards across multiple locations.
You will be a good fit if you have:
  • Post-secondary business education
  • 3-5 years of related Construction industry experience managing projects, preferred in retail or related industries
  • Strong interpersonal skills, you foster productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and the public
  • Effective Organizational Skills \xe2\x80\x93 time management, thriving under pressure and deadlines, problem-solving, attention to detail
  • Technical skills: you able to understand and interpret Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical Drawings including specifications; proficiency in autoCAD an asset
