We are looking to fill 2 open vacancies for Conformal Coating Assembler on Day Shift. This position will be on an open temporary contract-based term. The Conformal Coating Assembler will be responsible for assisting and participating in the daily operations of the Conformal Coating Cell. The incumbent reports to the Production Supervisor or designate.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operate conformal coating line and inspect results, perform touch-up if required.
Perform masking and unmasking processes as needed.
Monitor and reduce defects to all new and existing programs.
Ability to communicate and report on key quality, output data and possible improvements to Process Engineer or designate.
Conduct routine checks and maintenance schedules to maintain conformal coating production line, tooling/fixtures and coating area in good working condition to enable consistent process and minimize down-time.
Ensure workmanship conforms to IPC 610 Standards.
Report all issues to QC and Production Supervisor
Ensure housekeeping and 5S is maintained at all times.
Ensure that each board is properly scanned correctly using the manufacturing application program (ex. Aegis) and use of the digital signage enclosure program (ex. ViewStation).
Bring all scanning related issues to the attention of the Production Supervisor.
Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines.
Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production.
Position may involve physical demands such as lifting of heavy objects.
Perform any other relevant tasks to help out any other area in production.
Perform other tasks as required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of High School Diploma is a mandatory requirement.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Certificate or Diploma in Electronics or enrolled in a technical school would be an asset.
Minimum 2 years' experience in electronic contract manufacturing or OEM manufacturing.
Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through-hole and Conformal Coating components, drawings and BOMs.
Able to read values and correct polarity of Surface Mount components.
Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control an asset.
Good work habits and housekeeping.
WORK HOURS
Normal scheduled hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Day Shift
Overtime may be scheduled from time to time based on operational and business needs
LOCATION
The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A at 195 Royal Crest Court and/or Building B at 3930 14th Avenue)
Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate
