About Our Opportunity

As the Configuration Analyst (CSO 3), you play a key role in supporting ICTS\xe2\x80\x99 client focused Service Management Program. You will maintain the integrity of ICTS\xe2\x80\x99 Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB), by ensuring key ITIL processes, such as Change Management, Major Incident and Configuration Management, are followed. As part of a dynamic service management team, you will ensure that configuration data is available, when and where it is needed, to support other service management processes.

Primary Accountabilities

Working with the process owner, you\xe2\x80\x99ll plan and coordinate all process activities related to the Configuration Management Database;

  • Identification, classification and specification of all configuration items (CI\xe2\x80\x99s) and interfacing to other service management processes and data;
  • Maintaining the structure of the configuration management system, including CI types, naming conventions, required and optional attributes and relationships, as well as updating standards, as required;
  • Monitoring key processes related to Inventory and Configuration Management to ensure they are executed in a timely manner. Identifying variances/gaps and making recommendations to resolve/close them;
  • Performing configuration audits throughout the CI lifecycle;
  • Working with the Continual Service Improvement (CSI) process owner to review and prioritize improvement to the CSI register;
  • Coordinating and interfacing between the configuration management process and other processes, especially change and knowledge management;
  • Developing and utilizing SQL Interrogation methods to review and update released engineered data in the CMDB, and its associated relationships;
  • Analyzing mass updates of CI\xe2\x80\x99s to determine the effect on the end design and functionality in the CMDB
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science plus a minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience or graduation from a recognized Information Technology program plus 3 years and 6 months of experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

You will also have the following skills and/or work experience:
  • Support of configuration management processes in a complex environment;
  • Working with and analyzing large amounts of data in a technology environment;
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL programming skills in the areas of report development and data interrogation;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of data accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Deliver results and meet timelines;
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written);
  • Interpersonal and networking skills, with clients, staff, peers, and management; and,
  • Flexible and adaptable to ever changing priorities.
Knowledge of ITIL processes beyond configuration management, project management methodologies and IT and Security policies and best practices, would be considered assets.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Pay Grade: PR 14

Salary Range: $2,640.65 - $3,215.50 Bi-Weekly
