The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to problem gambling prevention. For more than 40 years, we have worked to reduce gambling risk by creating and delivering innovative awareness and information programs in Ontario and around the world. We work with priority populations, including youth, young adults, ethnocultural populations, and the general public, to educate people on the risks of gambling, mitigating those risks and how to access support. We work with the industry and regulators to promote the adoption of improved play safeguards through best practices research, standards development and the RG Check accreditation program.

Ready to be part of driving real change? Join the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) and take on a pivotal role leading marketing for RGC's signature conference: Discovery 2026. As Conference Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in leading the Discovery conference marketing strategy from concept through execution. Reporting to the Associate Director Marketing and Communications, you will work closely with Marcom, cross-functional teams including Education and Programs, and external partners to bring to life a comprehensive and strategic execution for stakeholders across the gambling sector and beyond. The ideal candidate is a high performing project manager with events experience, an excellent attention to detail and can craft compelling promotions based on complex narratives.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

:




1. Strategy, Outreach and Reporting (30%)


Support development and implementation of the overarching marketing strategy for the event, aligning with organizational goals and audience insights. Lead development, review and execution of all Discovery 2026 communications, from email, platform, print and digital. Ensuring all communications are on brand, cohesive and on schedule. Work closely with Marcom team to identify innovations and opportunities for optimizing and strengthening promotional strategy. Support Marketing Manager developing segmentation strategy and database development. Collaborate closely with the Senior PR and Comms Manager to craft channel-optimized communications, managing the review process through to final sign-off. Lead design and content development of sponsorship prospectus and recognition, tracking revenue and ensuring sponsor inclusions are executed for pre, during and post event. Track engagement and pull reports from event website and outreach channels.

2. Project Management (30%)


Develop solid relationships with key stakeholders and cross functional leads. Lead biweekly marcom update, ensuring cross-functional leads are informed and on track, through developing agendas, status documents, workback schedules etc. Develop and manage Discovery Marketing budget ensuring all milestones are met, track expenditures throughout and manage final project budget reconciliation. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including the executive team, marketing, research, evaluation, and accreditation as well as with external partners including educators, community groups, agencies, contractors, and others. Collaborating cross-functionally to develop project timelines, key milestones, and contingency plans that ensure strategic alignment and on-time delivery. Lead marketing outreach for pre conference work shop.

3. Digital Channel Management (30%)


Own optimization and update for the online event platform and app. Ensure brand is reflected clearly across all digital channels, event platform, RGC.ORG, social, newsletter etc. Work closely with Events Manager to develop onsite/online registration experience. Support the development of presentation content and campaign messaging that bring RGC's mission to life. Contribute creative ideas and fresh approaches to strengthen storytelling across all brand touchpoints

4. Onsite and Print and Digital Deliverables (10%)


Oversee internal and external design teams to ensure all materials are on-brand, clear, and cohesive. Work with external print vendor and AV company to execute on site printed and digital materials. Work closely with graphic designer and cross-functional teams to development of slides and presentation materials.





QUALIFICATIONS

:




You have a keen eye for detail, excel at mitigating risks, and consistently deliver results in dynamic, fast-paced environments. 5+ years working in a marketing role. Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Health or related field. Excellent communication skills and an advanced attention to detail. Strong ability to collaboratively work in cross-functional teams while being able to demonstrate flexibility and agile environments. Excellent interpersonal abilities, multi-tasking, critical thinking, prioritization, problem-solving and both verbal and presentation communication skills. Embody RGC's standards and professionalism in all aspects of event planning and execution. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Salary range is

$65,700 - $82,100:

, pro-rated for the 6 month contract, commensurate with skills and experience.
