Position Overview:

As a Concrete Pump Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of both line and boom concrete pumps at various job sites. You will work closely with the team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of concrete to the required locations, while maintaining high safety standards and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain line pumps and boom pumps in accordance with company safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Inspect and perform daily maintenance on pumps and equipment to ensure proper working condition. Communicate with crew members and site supervisors to ensure safe and efficient placement of concrete. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to industry standards, including WorkSafeBC regulations. Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment as required at each job site. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of daily activities, including time logs and equipment inspections. Work effectively as part of a team and support the delivery of concrete to job sites on time and as requested. Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with equipment on the job site. Provide exceptional customer service to clients and project managers.

Qualifications:

Valid Class 3 or Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driving record (Class 1 preferred). Minimum of 2 years of experience operating concrete pumps (line pump and/or boom pump experience required). Strong knowledge of concrete pumping equipment and industry best practices. Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on concrete pumps. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 lbs. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. High attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to work flexible hours and weekends when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in concrete pump operations (e.g., ACPA certification) is an asset. Experience with larger construction projects and commercial jobs. Ability to operate other heavy equipment such as skid steers or cranes is an asset.

Pay: $27.00-$43.00 per hour
