Job Summary

Nexco Construction is a heavy civil construction company specializing in site development, excavation and road building. We are growing and looking to expand our services and team accordingly. Nexco is based out of Dartmouth, NS and completes projects across mainland Nova Scotia.

Duties

Perform all tasks related to concrete forming and finishing, including form installation, screeding, troweling, edging, and brooming to achieve the desired texture and appearance. Set up and prepare job sites for concrete pouring, ensuring proper formwork, reinforcement, and layout. Operate power tools and equipment such as saws, drills, and vibrators. Ensure that all safety guidelines and protocols are followed at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards. Apply caulking and sealants as needed to ensure durability. Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation process. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Experience

Proven experience in concrete finishing or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with form installation techniques is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools. Experience with curbs and sidewalk installation is beneficial but not mandatory. Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$32.00 per hour
