Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Form Setter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and dismantling forms for concrete structures, ensuring precise measurements and alignment according to project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently on various job sites. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality construction projects, including commercial, residential, and restoration works.

Duties



Construct and install formwork for concrete slabs, walls, columns, and other structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine form dimensions and placement. Install rebar reinforcement within forms to ensure structural integrity. Operate concrete mixers and concrete pumping equipment to facilitate pouring operations. Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and stability of forms before pouring concrete. Assist with concrete finishing tasks such as troweling, caulking, and surface smoothing once concrete is poured. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently. Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, equipment operation, and site hazards. Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, and steel framing to complete projects on schedule.

Experience



Prior experience in concrete forming or related construction roles is highly preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and scaffolding setup. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes. Experience with rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry work, or stucco application is advantageous. Construction site experience involving renovation or restoration projects is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions. Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction sites including heavy equipment operation and working at heights. This position requires a dedicated individual with solid construction knowledge who can contribute effectively to complex projects while maintaining a focus on quality and safety standards.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
