Job Description

Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement Operate power vibrators to compact concrete Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools Instruct apprentices Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications Operate heavy equipment as needed for tasks such as pouring and levelling concrete Collaborate with carpenters to construct forms for pouring concrete Perform heavy lifting and manual labor, including moving materials and equipment on-site. Engage in renovation projects by restoring existing concrete surfaces or structures Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times Participate in the installation of various concrete features, including sidewalks, driveways, and foundations
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
