Concrete Labourers

Labourers $25-$30/hour depending on related experience

Experienced concrete finishers $35 + depending on experience level

Capital City Paving Ltd. is seeking experienced and non-experienced applicants for road construction concrete placing and finishing work. Capital City Paving is an asphalt and concrete contractor in the Victoria area working mostly in municipal road construction. Typical work is handform or machine placed curb and gutter, sidewalks, and driveways.

Duties:

Building forms for curbs and sidewalks Setting string lines and layout Working with curb machine and other mobile equipment Placement and finishing of concrete curbs and various flatwork
Basic Requirements:

This is a physically demanding job, ability to lift heavy weights and work in all conditions is a must Be able to work as part of team Knowledge and experience in carpentry and concrete tools is a benefit but not a requirement Valid drivers license. Employees begin work day at yard and travel to job site in company vehicles Be able to work in a safe manner in a variety of work environments Concrete finishing experience is a benefit but not required
