Location:

Southern Alberta and BC

Role Overview:

Complete all areas of concrete work including forming, pouring, and finishing with attention to detail and skill in finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

Follow all company safety policies including Field Level Hazard Assessments Check concrete forms to ensure that they are constructed correctly Set forms to desired pitch and depth and align them. Operate hand and power tools to spread, level and finish concrete Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tool, jointers and straight edge. Monitor how the wind, heat and cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process Direct the casting of the concrete communicate with labourers Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods and position reinforcing rods. Apply hardening, sealing and waterproofing to concrete surfaces Maintain a clean and organized work site

Qualifications:

2+ Years of finishing concrete Able to follow all safe work procedures and work in a safe manner Able to perform manual labour for 10-12 hours Able to lift up to 50lbs Class 5 drivers license Strong work ethic and willing to learn Able to work in a team environment Able to work out of town, as needed Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Flag person training an asset Able to complete electronic paperwork
