Job Description

The Precast Mold and Concrete Finisher is primarily responsible for both the initial and final steps in our manufacturing process. This role requires developing an understanding of our custom products, processes, textures, and finishes. Additionally, the individual must possess a keen eye for detail and be able to identify inconsistencies in the finished products.

Role and Responsibilities



Primary Responsibilities include:

Sanding, filling, caulking, painting, and performing other tasks necessary for primary and finishing stages of production. Ensuring the finished product matches production labels in terms of color. Color matching paints and grout. Conducting service appointments and touch-ups at residential and commercial job sites. Assessing service appointment requests to determine appropriate colors for caulking and paint. Recording and submitting forms, logs, and production documentation to the office. Collecting materials and supplies from suppliers.
Other duties may include:

Assisting with product installation, including lifting, setting, leveling, silicone, caulking, cutting, drilling, sawing, or any other required actions. Preparing tools and equipment for use before casting schedules. Cleaning and storing tools and equipment after use, ensuring readiness for subsequent casting. Ensuring pigment mixing tools are clean and ready for proper use to maintain quality.
Occasionally, the GFRC Finisher may be required to:

1. Travel out of town to assist with installations or site measurements.

2. Undertake additional activities necessary for workshop operations, installation, or service appointments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must:

1. Be physically and mentally fit to work in a dynamic environment.

2. Be capable of lifting loads up to 25kg.

3. Speak, read, and write English fluently.

4. Understand shop drawings, blueprints, and plans.

5. Solve simple and complex problems on-site independently.

6. Execute tasks with minimal supervision.

7. Communicate instructions effectively.

8. Collaborate well within a team.

9. Have a discerning eye for shades, color variances, and hues.

10. Possess prior experience with concrete, plaster, GFRC, or similar materials.

11. Have experience working with molds, forms, spraying, sculpting, or casting cement.

12. Work proficiently with shop equipment and machinery.

13. Consistently differentiate colors accurately.

14. Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license.

15. Be willing to drive to sites (mileage reimbursed).

16. Be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada.

17. Reside in Calgary, AB or be willing to relocate.

Bonus Qualifications

1. personal vehicle for site visits (mileage to be reimbursed)

2. Exhibit attention to detail.

3. Have prior work experience in related fields.

Additional Notes

Overtime may be required during peak periods. On-the-job training and education will be provided. Tools and equipment will be supplied.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
