Position Summary

As a

Dispatcher / Concrete Batcher

, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our ready-mix plant. You'll be responsible for scheduling deliveries, batching concrete to specification, and coordinating with drivers, customers, and plant personnel to ensure timely and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule and dispatch

ready-mix trucks to job sites according to customer orders and delivery windows

Batch concrete

using computerized batching systems while ensuring accurate mix designs and quality control Maintain effective

communication

with drivers, customers, and plant staff throughout the day Adjust scheduling based on weather, traffic, plant conditions, or customer changes Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials (cement, aggregate, admixtures) Ensure compliance with all

health & safety

regulations and company procedures Maintain accurate and organized

records

of deliveries, batch logs, and customer interactions Support plant operations as needed, including troubleshooting batching or equipment issues

Qualifications

Experience in

concrete dispatching and/or batching

is preferred Strong organizational and

problem-solving skills

Ability to multitask in a

fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency with computers; experience using batching software is an asset Knowledge of concrete mix designs and materials is a strong advantage Team-oriented with a customer-first attitude Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
