Join our Front Office Team as a Concierge/Guest Service Representative, where you have the opportunity to learn and grow in a Relais & Chateaux property also recognized as an AAA 4-Diamond Resort and T&L World\xe2\x80\x99s Best Hotel. This position will work as both a Concierge and Guest Service Representative, and is available year round or for a seasonal term from May through October. A Guest Service Representative (GSR) is the Wickaninnish Inn\xe2\x80\x99s version of a Front Desk Agent, and then some. The GSR not only greets guests and checks them in but they also become that guest\xe2\x80\x99s personal contact throughout their stay. The position offers a great deal of flexibility to "think outside of the box" and positively impact guests\xe2\x80\x99 experience. A GSR often has the opportunity to speak with a guest on the phone, make their reservation arrangements, and be the one to greet and check them in upon arrival and bring them to their room to get them settled in! Please note due to COVID-19 operating regulations/standards some duties may change. Objectives:
Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond, and Forbes Standards
Responsible for day-to-day guest requests regarding travel arrangements to and from Tofino, recreation trips, recommendations of local activities/dining options, and the like
Assist with special occasion bookings (Wedding proposals etc.)
Email and written correspondence
Clerical duties such as maintenance of reservation files and day to day operational paperwork are required
Take and process reservation calls
Welcome guests, check in and check out guests, assisting with luggage
Exemplary guest service skills and a demonstrated willingness to exceed guest expectations
Hotel or Resort experience an asset
Substantial prior experience in a Guest Service role necessary
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with services and activities offered in Tofino, Ucluelet and Vancouver Island
Valid Class 5 Driver\'s License
Ability to transfer luggage from vehicle trunks to bell carts, ranging up to 40lbs
A professional and groomed appearance, calm and capable demeanour
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Knowledgeable about, and capable to meet and exceed, Relais & Chateaux and AAA 4 Diamond standards
Working knowledge of Maestro, Word and Excel an asset
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
A desire to contribute exciting and innovative ideas towards the ongoing improvement of the Front Office Department and the Wickaninnish Inn as a whole
A mutual understanding of your employment duration will be determined during your interview
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Ability to maintain all COVID-19 operating regulations/standards
