The Power Garage is an 18-year-old recreational vehicle dealership with four divisions (RV, Marine, Powersports, and Equipment) serving recreational enthusiasts across Ontario. In January 2025, we're launching an innovative membership program called "The Future of Recreation" with the tagline "Try Play Go" - a revolutionary concept that gives members access to RVs, boats, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, and golf carts through flexible membership tiers.
The Role
We're seeking an exceptional Concierge / Event Coordinator to become the face and heartbeat of Try Play Go. This role combines hospitality excellence with event management expertise to create unforgettable experiences for our members. You'll be responsible for orchestrating seamless vehicle handovers, curating member experiences, and designing events that bring our recreational community together.
Key Responsibilities
Member Experience & Concierge Services
Serve as the primary point of contact for Try Play Go members, delivering white-glove service at every touchpoint
Coordinate vehicle reservations, pickups, and deliveries across our fleet (RVs, boats, powersports equipment)
Conduct orientation sessions for members using equipment for the first time
Anticipate member needs and proactively solve problems to ensure seamless recreational experiences
Build lasting relationships with members, learning their preferences and personalizing their experience
Manage member communications regarding bookings, events, and program updates
Event Planning & Execution
Design and execute member events including seasonal rallies, destination trips, product demos, and community gatherings
Coordinate logistics for events: venue selection, catering, entertainment, equipment demos, vendor partnerships
Create engaging event experiences that foster community and showcase the Try Play Go lifestyle
Manage event budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships
Develop event marketing materials in collaboration with the marketing team
Gather member feedback and continuously improve the event experience
Operations & Coordination
Maintain detailed scheduling systems to optimize fleet utilization across membership tiers (Explorer, Adventurer, Legend, The Club)
Coordinate with the operations team on vehicle preparation, maintenance schedules, and delivery logistics
Ensure all safety protocols and orientations are completed before member trips
Track member usage patterns and provide insights to leadership on program optimization
Manage inventory of member welcome packages, branded merchandise, and event materials
Qualifications
Required:
3+ years experience in hospitality, event planning, or concierge services
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences
Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail
Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines
Comfort with technology and booking/scheduling systems
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Weekend and occasional evening availability for events
Preferred:
Experience in the recreational vehicle, marine, or powersports industry
Knowledge of Ontario camping, boating, and recreational destinations
Event planning certifications or formal hospitality training
Experience with membership-based business models
Familiarity with CRM systems and member management platforms
