Ce role comporte egalement l'organisation et l'execution de tels travaux; de plus, il consiste a organiser et surveiller les travaux executes par les membres d'une equipe dont il est responsable.
Elle exerce en plus les attributions caracteristiques de la classe d'emplois d'ouvriere ou d'ouvrier d'entretien, classe II.

La personne salariee de cette classe d'emplois exerce le role de chef d'equipe. A ce titre, conformement a la planification etablie et aux directives recues, elle voit a l'organisation, a l'execution et a la surveillance des travaux d'entretien menager, preventif et physique realises par les membres d'une equipe; elle donne son avis sur la qualite des travaux et en fait rapport.
Elle doit assurer la proprete des lieux. A ce titre, elle organise et execute des travaux d'entretien menager en accomplissant avec les membres d'une equipe des taches d'ouvriere ou d'ouvrier d'entretien, classe II; elle s'assure que les appareils et les equipements d'entretien sont maintenus en bon etat.
Elle doit assurer le bon etat du batiment et de ses equipements. Elle voit a l'inspection et a la verification des systemes d'eclairage, de chauffage et de ventilation; elle veille au fonctionnement d'un type d'appareil de chauffage qui ne requiert pas la presence de mecanicienne ou de mecanicien de machines fixes; elle fait ou s'assure de l'entretien preventif requis; elle fait ou s'assure des reparations mineures ou temporaires; elle signale les bris afin que les travaux de reparations soient realises; elle effectue le suivi des travaux executes par des ouvrieres ou ouvriers specialises ou non specialises. Elle repare les portes, les fenetres et le mobilier; elle voit a l'assemblage et a l'installation de materiel.
Elle prend tous les moyens necessaires en vue d'assurer une securite adequate contre le vol ou l'incendie; dans certains cas specifiques et selon les besoins, elle voit au controle des entrees et des sorties des visiteurs, des eleves et du personnel. Selon la demande, elle voit a la preparation des locaux et des salles.
Conformement a la procedure etablie, elle soumet les besoins en materiel, produits et equipements requis pour l'execution des travaux d'entretien de l'equipe; elle s'assure du respect des normes d'utilisation, d'entreposage et d'elimination securitaire des produits.
Elle formule des suggestions et des recommandations concernant les produits, le materiel, l'equipement ainsi que les methodes de travail.
Elle supervise les travaux effectues par d'autres personnes salariees non specialisees.
Elle peut etre appelee a utiliser un ordinateur et les divers logiciels requis pour l'execution de son travail.
Au besoin, elle accomplit toute autre tache connexe.

Avoir trois (3) annees d'experience pertinente
Connaissances
pratiques
Avoir une connaissance generale du fonctionnement des differents mecanismes dont a la surveillance : chauffage, ventilation, eclairage et systemes d'alarme. Avoir une connaissance rudimentaire des principaux metiers du batiment.

Nature
of
the
work
The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in being responsible for carrying out the maintenance work as well as the preventive and physical upkeep of an educational institution or building and being responsible for a total area equal to or greater than 9 275 m2. The role also involves organizing and carrying out such work as well as organizing, coordinating and overseeing the work carried out by members of a team for whom he or she is responsible. In addition, he or she performs the characteristic functions of the class of employment of maintenance workman, class II.
Characteristic
functions
The employee in this class of employment acts as a team leader. In this respect and according to the schedule established and the instructions received, ensures the organization, execution and supervision of maintenance work as well as preventive and physical upkeep carried out by the members of a team; gives their opinion and reports on the quality of the work.
Must ensure the cleanliness of the premises. In this respect, organizes and carries out maintenance work by performing, along with the members of a team, maintenance workman, class II duties; ensures that maintenance apparatus and equipment are kept in good condition.
Must ensure that the building and its equipment are in good condition. Ensures the inspection and verification of the lighting, heating and ventilation systems; ensures the operation of heating equipment which does not require the presence of a stationary engineer. Carries out or ensures that the required preventive upkeep is carried out; carries out or ensures that minor or temporary repairs are carried out; reports any breakdown detected so that the necessary repairs are carried out; follows up the work of specialized or nonspecialized workmen. Repairs doors, windows and furniture; ensures the assembly and installation of the material.
Takes the necessary measures to ensure adequate security against fire and theft. In certain specific cases and, as required, ensures the monitoring of the comings and goings of visitors, students and staff. If need be, ensures the preparation of rooms and halls.
In keeping with the procedure established, identifies needs in materials, products and equipment required for maintenance work carried out by the team; ensures that the standards respecting the safe use, storage and disposal of products are respected.
Makes suggestions and recommendations concerning products, materials, equipment and work methods. Supervises the work of other nonspecialized employees.
May be required to use a computer and the necessary software to perform duties.
If need be, performs any other related duty.

Qualifications

Experience
Have three (3) years of pertinent experience.
Practical
skills
Have a general knowledge of the operation of the heating, ventilation, lighting and alarm systems that a night caretaker oversees. Have a basic knowledge of the main building trades.
