We currently require an enthusiastic Machine Vision Production & Support Technician to join our team of engineers and technicians in the Vision Department. Position Summary:

Tasks will range from supporting existing customers remotely, all the way through aiding the design and manufacturing process of vision machines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide remote support for clients, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing software updates and configuring equipment.
Document all support activities, including actions taken, conclusions and recommended next steps.
Work with the design team to create accurate BOMs for vision systems in production.
Liaison between engineering and production teams on project requirements, inventory and part lead-times for machines in production.
Assist with ordering parts for inventory and inventory management.
Possible responsibility to solve software issue by modifying C++ code base.
Work Experience Requirements
Proven experience in a technical support role, with a strong foundation in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact over phone and chat.
A strong understanding of computer systems, ethernet/IP and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Understanding of electric circuits and mechanical assembly.
The initiative to investigate and problem solve, and work with minimum supervision.
Qualifications
Experience in the computer vision industry is an asset.
Familiarity with automation and manufacturing environments is an asset.
Familiarity with machine vision cameras and software is an asset.
Strong fundamentals in C/C++ development is an asset.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Software Suite.
