Job Description


We are looking for a computer technician to join our team!

Position type: Full-time (35h/week) replacement for 6 months and possibility of extension.
Salary: 847,35 $ - 1131,20 $ weekly according to years of experience.

The Computer Technician will install and maintain computer systems and networks. Must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of applications, networks and internal operating systems. Resolve customer issues over the phone, in person. The ideal candidate will also have strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail, strong communication skills, organizational skills and time management, provides technical support to software users and responds to service interruptions.

Performs various database related tasks. Monitors databases. Applies security and data backup procedures; manages access rights to the computerized information system.

Responsibilities
Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripherals (printers, etc.)
Check computer hardware (hard drive, mouse, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality
Install and configure appropriate software and features according to specifications
Ensure security and privacy of computer networks and systems
Provide guidance and advice to users on how to use new software and hardware
Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance.
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.)
Maintain repair and patch records/logs and maintenance schedule

Qualifications
College diploma in computer technology (DEC or AEC with pertinent exp\xc3\xa9rience)
One year of relevant experience in a similar position
Proficiency in French; proficiency in English, an asset (written and spoken)
Ability to work in a team environment
High sense of customer service
Knowledge of the Windows 10, 2012, 2016, 2019, Microsoft Office and virtualization environments, VMware and SCCM
Knowledge of email systems such as Outlook and Exchange.
Knowledge of computer cloning software and remote control tools
Perform workstation mounting (Bios and image)
Knowledge of script programming and batch files
Software installation and troubleshooting
Network knowledge and file and folder sharing
Ability to follow up with users on their problems
Knowledge of Active Directory, local and wide area networks
Knowledge of HTML and web site
