DUTIES: The Computer Support Technician (CST) is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of computer hardware, peripherals, video conferencing equipment, cables, and computer networks/software for College staff located at the St. Anthony Campus. The CST provides support and advice to users regarding software/hardware technical specifications in order to meet operational requirements; provides audio/video conference support for onsite/offsite presentations, events, and meetings; ensures network connectivity and functionality; designs, implements and supports network architecture including cabling, switches, print servers, security cameras and related software; troubleshoots and performs minor repairs to PC hardware and peripheral equipment; supports remote users and troubleshoots remote devices; configures and maintains user accounts; safeguards computer files against unauthorized access, destruction or disclosure; conducts computer diagnostics in order to investigate and resolve problems; dismantles, disposes and/or relocates equipment; and performs other related duties as required. This position is included in the bargaining unit (NAPE Support Staff). SCREENING CRITERIA:
1. Diploma in Information Technology, or other computer-related field (equivalencies will be considered)
