To support students interested in developing technology skills, we offer a school-based Academic Support Program that provides structured computer science and digital literacy instruction for youth in Grades 7-12 from our school community.

Position Overview
The instructor will lead technology-focused learning sessions covering programming fundamentals, computational thinking, senior high-school computer science concepts, and introductory AI literacy.
All sessions are delivered in small groups on campus using school-provided instructional materials.
This role suits candidates with strong CS fundamentals and an interest in helping youth gain confidence in technology.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver structured technology instruction using school-provided lesson frameworks
Teach programming basics (Python; Java familiarity an asset) and computational thinking
Support senior students with Ontario high-school computer science topics (ICS3U / ICS4U)
Lead guided activities involving beginner-friendly AI tools and responsible digital literacy
Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and project-based learning
Provide constructive feedback on student progress
Maintain an organized and positive classroom environment
Collaborate with the program coordinator as needed
Qualifications
Required
Strong proficiency in programming (Python required; Java preferred)
Solid understanding of high-school level computer science concepts
Ability to explain technical topics clearly to youth learners
University-level study in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred
Experience teaching or mentoring youth in technology or STEM
Familiarity with Ontario ICS3U/ICS4U expectations
Experience guiding students through beginner AI tools or digital literacy activities
Ability to support multilingual and international learners
