Job Summary
At KGM, we provide a fun computer learning experience that is non-traditional and built specifically for children, teens and their learning style. KGM counselors have a unique blend of professionalism and some experience with children. They also have a genuine desire to work with children and teens, while being flexible, patient, energetic, tolerant and ready to have fun!! Our counselors will work closely with the lead instructors and the supervisor, along with other program staff.
Work Schedule
We are seeking candidates with flexible availability: - Weekdays: Monday to Friday, 4:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Weekends: Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Shifts will be scheduled based on this availability but not necessarily every day.
Expected Hours: 20-30 per week
Key Responsibilities
Work directly with the lead Instructor to support daily program activities
Aid students in groups or one-on-one with any questions they may have
Take part in staff meetings
Participate in team-building activities
Ensure the participants' safety, inclusion, and enjoyment
Assist with classroom setup and turnover
Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with children in program or recreational settings
Energetic, patient, flexible, and enthusiastic about working with kids and teens
Computer literacy and willingness to learn new programs or software
Exposure to or interest in any of the following areas is considered an asset:
Game Design and Development
3D Modeling & Design
Animation
Programming
Robotics
App Development
Note: KGM will provide intensive training prior to the start of classes.
Requirements
Must obtain CPR-C Certification at least 14 days before program starts (applicants are responsible for scheduling and fees)
Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
Must complete all required online and in-person training sessions
Must submit completed contracts and hiring paperwork prior to the start date
Job Locations
Kids Great Minds works in partnership with municipalities across the GTA to provide computer courses in local community centres, libraries and schools. We are currently seeking candidates to work across various locations throughout South and West Mississauga.
Compensation
Hourly wage:
$18.00 - $22:00, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
