Reporting to a Supervising Engineer or Team Lead, the Computer Draftsperson will be responsible for supporting drafting needs within the organization, with a focus on distribution and supporting other disciplines as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
Provide CAD services for electrical distribution to both internal and external clients.
Create, revise, and maintain various working drawings, circuit maps, schematic drawings, charts, graphs, forms, record drawings and other miscellaneous drawings.
Create and revise distribution projects drawings for project base maps, issued for review (IFR), issued for construction (IFC) and record drawings
Create and revise various distribution drawing types (S01, E01, M01 and D01)
Create and modify utility line assignments (ULAs), deviations and as-builts
Maintain current knowledge of ENMAX standards and documentation pertinent to distribution work.
Provide drafting support to other departments as required.
Modify and maintain a variety of record databases.
Maintain project time accounting information.
Education Required:
Two-year technical diploma such as Engineering Design and Drafting Technology Diploma or Architectural Technologies Diploma
Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years computer drafting experience
3+ years computer drafting experience using Bentley MicroStation (V8i or Connect Edition) is preferred, other CAD drafting experience will be considered
Distribution drafting experience is preferred
Experience working with a 3D CAD drafting program is an asset
Experience working with AutoCAD is an asset
Previous experience working for an electric utility or related consultant is an asset

Interest and ability to work in a fast-paced project environment performing a variety of drafting assignments

Salary: Drafter Level C (Current CUPE 2023 rates)
$80,125.68 - $85,144.70 - $90,143.87 - $95,162.89 - $100,162.06

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
