About the Opportunity
Our Public Sector client is seeking a Senior Computer Application Support professional to provide temporary IM/IT service desk coverage.
This interim role ensures uninterrupted technical support for members while the department completes its staffing of a permanent position.
Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide both remote and onsite IM/IT support to clients operating in a Windows enterprise environment, including Microsoft Suite and M365 applications
  • Provide user access and technical support for systems and applications
  • Monitor and respond to requests sent to the service desk mailbox; triage and prioritize tickets appropriately
  • Answer incoming calls to the service desk line and respond to client inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Troubleshoot incidents within scope, both onsite and remotely
  • Provide technical support for conference rooms, desktop hardware, peripherals, and general IT equipment
  • Escalate issues to appropriate 2nd-level support teams when necessary
  • Liaise with departmental service desks for issues or service requests falling outside of the department's scope
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
  • A customer-focused approach with strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of Windows-based environments
  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the past 5 years) providing support in a Windows enterprise environment (including MS Suite / M365)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience (within the past 5 years) providing hardware and software support
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve service requests independently while maintaining accurate documentation
  • Experience supporting conference room technology, desktop devices, and peripheral hardware
  • Bilingual (English and French) - Intermediate oral, written, and comprehension skills in both official languages
  • Valid Reliability Status clearance
