Job Title: Computational Design Engineer: EDA & Scientific ComputingLocation: Cambridge (MA)-hybridAxiomatic_AI\'s mission:Axiomatic_AI is readying to launch with the aim to accelerate R&D by "Automated Interpretable Reasoning" (AIR) -- a verifiably truthful AI model built for reasoning in science and engineering. Axiomatic_AI is hiring top talent interested in a future of human reasoning aided by -- not replaced by -- AI, and a future that empowers a new generation of innovators to solve important problems through deep-tech engineering in the semiconductor ecosystem.Responsibilities:- Developing and implementing numerical simulations and optimization algorithms to solve complex engineering problems.- Seamlessly integrating with external design tools like Cadence through APIs, facilitating automated design workflows.- Applying autodifferentiation techniques to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of design optimizations.- Collaborating with system architects and design engineers to translate theoretical models into implementable designs.- Ensuring designs meet stringent performance, power, and area specifications through rigorous simulations and analyses.- Keeping abreast of the latest developments in scientific programming, optimization techniques, and EDA tool functionalities.Qualifications:- Advanced degree (MSc or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field with a strong emphasis on numerical methods.- 3+ years of experience in scientific programming related to hardware design, including experience with optimization and autodifferentiation techniques.- Proficiency in interfacing with EDA tools (e.g., Cadence) through APIs.- Solid understanding of semiconductor physics and VLSI design principles.- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or Julia, and hardware description languages like Verilog/VHDL.- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and excellent communication skills.What We Offer:-A competitive compensation package, including equity in a VC-backed startup.
