Accountant

Artemis recruiting is currently looking for an accountant in order to join a family office work environment. The person will be responsible for a vast array of accounting and financial tasks such as financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, banking, tax filling, investment reporting and analysis and more. We are looking for an independent and resourceful individual to join the team.

Salary: 90-100k

Principal functions:
Prepare monthly non-consolidated and consolidated financial statements for the group of companies in accordance with ASPE including preparation of note disclosures;
Investigate and analyze financials on a regular basis;
Monitor overall accounting cycle and controls and suggest ways for improvement;
Prepare cash flow statements and assist in the annual budgeting process;
Prepare the bank, intercompany and GL reconciliations;
Prepare and post journal entries;
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable;
Assist with tax and accounting research;
Prepare and assist with GST/QST filings and corporate income tax returns;
Correspondence with the government (e.g., tax audits);
Investment capital account data entry, reconciliations, and analysis;
Assist in investment reporting and analysis;
Special projects on an ad-hoc basis;

Requirements :
3 years of experience in a similar role;
BAC in accounting, finance or administration;
CPA title (asset);
Experience with QuickBooks;
Bilingual (French and English);
Strong attention to details;
