JOB DESCRIPTION

: Compounding Pharmacy Technician to assist with the technical aspects and day-to-day functioning of the compounding lab.

JOB TYPE

: Full-Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Follow proprietary formulations and SOPs to compound prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely.

? Complete facility and equipment cleaning, maintenance, and monitoring tasks diligently.

? Handle, receive, unpack, store, and dispose of products and supplies appropriately.

? Perform and record various quality control activities relating to final preparations, personnel technique, and facility and equipment operation.

? Correctly operate, use, and calibrate lab equipment, materials, and automated instruments.

? Have a strong command of pharmaceutical calculations required for compounding.

? Accurately weigh, measure, and mix raw material ingredients.

? Prepare labels, packages, and unit dose drugs in accordance with the dispensing order.

? Know and adhere to all lab safety protocols.

? Complete all duties within specified timelines by prioritizing tasks, communicating well with team members, and managing time efficiently.

? Work cooperatively and respectfully with fellow employees, supervisors, and management.

? Assist in other areas of the pharmacy as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

? Experience in a compounding lab is an asset.

? Experience working with Kroll software is an asset.

? Experience working in a retail pharmacy is an asset.

? Proficient in math and basic science.

? Strong attention to detail.

? Professional, self-motivated individual with a team player attitude.

? Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

? Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

? Ability to work under minimal supervision.

? Flexible work hours (some evenings and weekends).
