We’re currently looking for a Compositor to join one of our exciting 3D productions!
Responsibilities:
  • Composite shots efficiently within the time allotted
  • Report regularly to the Senior Compositor and VFX Supervisor
  • Identify to the Senior Compositor problems that could potentially arise with respect to timelines and delivery schedules
  • Watch for render errors/missing composite elements, based on the shot notes
  • Work in collaboration with animators and modelers with respect to any missing elements in the shots or sequences and trouble shoot solutions
  • Watch animatics of your episode for errors and shots missing composites; stay current with the show and what stage of production it is at
  • Balance your creative needs, technical resources and time available
  • Follow the creative direction of the production as communicated by the VFX Supervisor
  • Anticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues with assistance from key stakeholders
  • Keep current on compositing techniques and technology

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in animation or film industry
  • Proficiency with standard industry software (eg. Maya, Nuke, Renderman)
  • Experience with Real Flow, Houdini, and python scripting is an asset
  • Good understanding of animation, modelling, compositing, rendering and lighting
  • Excellent understanding of compositing methods
  • Able to take direction, collaborate, and be a team player
  • Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas in a professional and positive manner
  • Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Must be open to direction and able to embrace change
