Alpine Aerotech is currently seeking a highly motivated Component Shop Assistant to join our rapidly expanding team in West Kelowna.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMPONENT SHOP ASSISTANT

Clean and degrease parts using appropriate cleaning solutions, solvents, or mechanical methods; Assist with general shop maintenance, including but not limited to: cleaning, organizing and restocking supplies; Support shop staff in assembling, disassembling, and moving materials or aircraft components; Application of Cadmium and Zinc-Nickle Plating. Operate basic hand tools and equipment to complete tasks; Maintain clean and safe work areas by adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety gear; Fulfill additional duties as required; and Uphold an unwavering standard of excellence that impeccably represents the Alpine Aerotech brand.

OUR MUST HAVES

Valid driver's license; Proven mechanical aptitude, hand skills and knowledge of equipment, tools and various materials; Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to generate high quality deliverables; Strong time and project management skills and self-motivation; Robust interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity with demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships; Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling; and Know what it means to work smarter, not harder.

The range for this role is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
