The opportunity:





Reporting to the VP, Supervision, Wellington-Altus Private Wealth has an opportunity for a Compliance Summer Student to join our Compliance Registrations team. The Compliance Summer Student will provide administrative support and will be exposed to the compliance framework, reporting, data validation, and special projects.


Key responsibilities include:




Assisting with monitoring and answering compliance registration inbox inquiries. Cleaning and organizing folders and prep documents as required. Assisting the Compliance team with clean-up projects and initiatives. Taking notes in meetings and training. Supporting research on regulatory matters. Supporting data collection and analysis efforts. Developing data metrics and visualizations to present information in an easily interpretable format, helping to identify patterns and opportunities. Assisting in reorganizing data to create new reports. Providing document formatting assistance as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess:




Current enrollment at a post-secondary institution as a first or second-year student, available for full-time work over the summer. Proficiency with the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Dependability, integrity, competence, and a strong work ethic. A detail-oriented approach with emphasis on a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Effective interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills. An ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
