What You'll Do
Summary:
Quality and Compliance is a fast-paced team, which is accountable for effectively managing a large volume and variety of tasks in support of the overall business. This would include assisting in the preparation and governance of standard business documents, due diligence reviews, risk assessments, audit related functions, contract review and legal research.
This role is ideally suited for a team player who is detailed oriented with strong analytical skills, who can assist in legal research and day to day operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in review and preparation of various legal and business documentation providing summary of recommendations and identify risks
Assist with legal/business research and formulate business responses
Review, categorize and provide business centric interpretations of legal opinions
Prepare Provincial Annual reviews/reports and license business renewals
Assist in development of internal resource material for business
Assist in completion of internal reviews/audits of various business functions.
Other administrative duties as required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities RequiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous financial processing, customer service and/or administration experience
A proactive, energetic and enthusiastic approach to your work
Self-motivation, strong attention to detail and ability to work with strict deadlines
The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers
Quality focused with strong organizational and abstract reasoning skills
Innovative problem solving skills with ability to multitask
A flexible attitude towards change and the ability to adapt to new situations
Knowledge of Outlook, Excel and MS Word
Bilingual French/English would be a strong asset*
Training/ Education/ Experience QualificationsMust be an enrolled College or University student
0-3 years of work experience, preferably with the Financial Services
