Compensation & Benefits Analyst

We are on the search for a Compensation & Benefits Analyst to join our client\'s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the administration, analysis design, communication, and education of the organization\'s Total Rewards program. You will collaborate with a team of HR professionals as well as internal and external clients to ensure that the total Rewards program and overall compensation maintains aligned within a constantly changing external market. Your success is defined by your ability to:

  • Conduct job evaluations and analyses and price new jobs through market pricing or slotting utilizing existing salary structure
  • Benchmark jobs against market survey data to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position
  • Complete internal and external salary surveys
  • Perform audits of compensation programs
  • Prepare and maintain the job description for each position in the organization
  • Assist with the preparation and administration of long-term incentive program grants and payments
  • Assists in the execution of the annual merit increase cycle
  • Oversee the benefit plan for the Company and its operating entities (within Canada & US)
  • Research employee benefits in like industries, and based on findings, recommend changes or updates to the Company\xe2\x80\x99s existing plan
  • Facilitate implementation and enrollment for insurance and retirement plans
Your strengths include:
  • Post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline
  • Hold or working towards a CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or CMS (Compensation Management Specialist) designation
  • 3+ of experience in administrating Compensation/Total Rewards programs and/or Benefits plans within Canada & US
  • Experience with administration of equity compensation plans would be an asset
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Advanced skills in MS EXCEL and the MS Office Suite
  • Industry experience and JD Edwards would be considered an asset
  • Ability to perform complex compensation analysis
  • High technical aptitude and an interest in learning new software
  • Knowledge of compensation theory and practices
