Position Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Director, Compensation, the Compensation Administrator provides professional-level support to the Total Compensation team in the development, implementation and review of compensation policies, procedures and programs, based on market best practices, by preparing and analyzing data, creating tools and training materials. The incumbent also serves as a key point of contact for day-to-day compensation inquiries for the HR community, supports program administration, and assists in special projects and policy reviews.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Act as first point of contact for the HR community regarding Total Compensation requests and provide information related to processes, policies and procedures.
• Consult relevant documentation and liaise with appropriate resource persons to gather and provide accurate information.
• Respond to routine requests and resolve issues within area of responsibility and escalate complex and sensitive issues to appropriate team member.
• Verify completeness, compliance and accuracy of the information and supporting documents submitted to Total Compensation. Investigate discrepancies and follow up to resolve issues.
• Distribute and prioritize to compensation professionals' requests received such as position creations, position rematches, salary adjustments, hiring salary and one-time payments.
• Conduct preliminary assessments, when appropriate, using comparables, historical data and internal and external equity considerations.
• Approve HRIS transactions, validate data, identify anomalies, and participate in system testing. Prepare and validate EIBs as needed.
• Perform regular audits to ensure that compensation policies and guidelines are respected such as minimum wage, minimum of the scale, fixed hourly rate and position title nomenclature. Identify and address discrepancies by contacting and following up with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and prepare documents such as templates, lists, presentations and other reference materials.
• Maintain and update Compensation job aids content in the knowledge database and the Compensation HR website pages.
• Prepare and distribute compensation-related documents and communications.
• Document processes and procedures related to compensation administration.
• Compile, analyze and report on compensation-related data and make recommendations to the Compensation Advisors.
• Prepare statistics and KPIs on compensation processes and transactions.
• Provide administrative support during the annual compensation review and salary policies.
• Prepare and submit salary and compensation surveys.
• Conduct research on compensation market data on specific positions including reviewing collective agreements, job descriptions, organizational charts, and relevant databases, and contacting other universities as required.
• Organize meetings, assist with the preparation of the agenda, take minutes and follow up on action items.
• Undertake special projects and initiatives as assigned by the supervisor.
• Work on various requests and perform other related duties as required.

• Written and spoken French and English.
