COMPANY DRIVER


ABOUT THE ROLE


We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for transporting materials, finished goods, and equipment between company facilities, suppliers, and customers in a timely and professional manner. This role is critical in ensuring smooth operations, customer satisfaction, and adherence to all transportation safety policies.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




Safely operate company vehicles to deliver and pickup raw materials and supplies to designated locations. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Verify shipment contents against delivery documents such as invoices and packing slips. Prepare bills of lading (BOL's) for outgoing materials. Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and required documentation. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or necessary maintenance. Follow all traffic laws, company safety rules, and legal regulations. Assist warehouse team when needed. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with customers, vendors, and colleagues Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Class 3 license required

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous driving, warehouse or material handling experience is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification may be required). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) regularly. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and stand for extended periods.
SKILLS/ABILITIES

Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems (e.g., ERP or WMS platforms). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documentation. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and equipment operation.
