About the Role:

As a Companion, you will be a vital part of our team, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for our clients. While maintaining a clean and safe home environment is key, this role is also about providing meaningful companionship and practical support. You'll work closely with caregivers and other staff to uphold the high standards of care we are known for.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Companionship & Support:

Socializing, games, outings, and walks to promote engagement. Transportation for grocery shopping, medical appointments, or social outings. Assisting with errands and shopping. Helping with pet care. Providing technology assistance. Assisting with meal preparation.

Light Housekeeping & Safety:

Performing general cleaning duties like dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing. Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and bedrooms according to established protocols. Disposing of trash and recycling responsibly. Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to management. Adhering to company policies and health & safety guidelines. Assisting with special cleaning projects as needed. Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all clients.

We're Looking for Team Members Who Are:

Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. Compassionate and caring with a warm, respectful, and professional attitude. Willing to work hourly on a casual basis Able to work independently with excellent critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail. Excellent at written and spoken communication. Effective with time management to efficiently complete tasks. Comfortable with light to moderate physical activity (ability to lift and move items as needed). Positive and willing to learn new techniques.

Requirements:

Valid Alberta Driver's License and ownership of a reliable vehicle. Completion of a Criminal Background Check with a Vulnerable Sector within 90 days of hire. Valid First Aid w/CPR or BLS

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 40 per week
