Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the lives of others through attentive caregiving and support. This role involves working closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia or hospice support. Prior experience in patient care or senior care is preferred, but a caring attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration following prescribed protocols Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs Support patients with mobility and perform heavy lifting when necessary to ensure safety Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation tasks Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting, feeding, and transferring Support clients with dementia or cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care is highly desirable Experience working with people with disabilities or in dementia care is a plus Background in caregiving, nursing, or patient support roles is beneficial but not mandatory for entry-level applicants Physical ability for heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking is required Knowledge of medication administration and basic medical procedures is advantageous Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience are essential for success in this role

Pay: $43,296.09-$47,721.46 per year
