Expected Hours of Work:

Saturdays, 12 to 4 (4 hours) with flexibility to switch to Fridays as needed.

Highlights:

A is extremely independent and will direct her own supports. She makes all her appts and social events for staff to accompany her. She lives near the Joyce skytrain station and she knows how to get to all her destinations. She uses a scooter when out in the community but is able to walk unassisted.

Duties and Responsibilities:

She does require a little bit of help with showers but no physical support is required. She needs some assistance with chores and cooking but she is able to do some of it on her own.

Preferred Training or Experience:

Excellent stress management skills. Excellent communication skills Previous experience with personal care Good ability to set and maintain boundaries Previous experience supporting someone with dementia

Specific Training or Experience Required:

Supporting People who get anxious Ability to motivate, encourage and engage the interests of others. Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)

Pay: $24.50-$26.65 per hour
