Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
Help clients with mobility and transfers, when necessary.
Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior.
Support individuals with disabilities by providing tailored care that meets their specific needs.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
Document care provided and any observations regarding the client's condition accurately.
Requirements
Previous experience working with clients with disabilities,
preferred
.
Ability to perform lifting & transferring and assist with physical mobility tasks.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Certification or training as a nurse or healthcare aide
preferred.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check dated within the last 6 months is
required before commencing employment.
Able to
legally able to work in Canada
and provide valid study or work permit if applicable.
Basic of Standard First Aid with CPR
required.
