Some benefits have eligibility requirements of surpassing three (3) months and securing a regular position of 20hrs/week or more. The benefits and criteria may change from time to time at the discretion of Strive.


The program provides both community-based and home-based activities, including social, recreational, vocational, daily living skills, skill development and leisure recreation activities within a supported environment. Program and activity schedules are created to reflect the needs, preferences, and goals of each individual.



The right candidate should have experience with Behavior Management and Personal Care. Sign language is an asset, and candidate must have at least 1-2 years of experience with personal care.

Job Duties Include but not limited to:

Knowledge and experience working with developmental, physical disabilities, mental health and behaviours Ability to create a meaningful routine Knowledgeable of creating independence vs. creating dependence Following health care plans
Completing daily documentation Implementing personal protocols, schedules, and activities Knowledge and experience with community integration and teaching life skills

Job Qualifications Include:

Class 4 or 5 BC Driver's License preferred and clean driver's abstract BC Care Aid Registered Number (Required) Medication Administration Certificate from reputable school (Required) Minimum of 1-year experience Criminal Record Check Negative TB test First Aid and CPR Mandt Certificate Food Safe Certificate
