Duties to include, but not limited to: client supports including crisis intervention, ETO documentation, activities related to facility operations, medication administration, assisting program participants with daily living skill development towards sustainable community living.

This competition is being used to fill positions in a supportive housing project focused on supporting emerging adults living with a severe and persistent psychiatric illness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Diploma or Degree in related Health Sciences discipline combined with 2+ years of experience in community mental health services. Equivalencies and/or combinations may be considered. Valid First Aid and CPR accreditation
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of the principles of recovery in mental illness. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Basic computer literacy to operate computerized resident care information system and word processing, spreadsheet, Internet and e-mail software. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. Ability to demonstrate and assist residents with activities of daily living. Ability to resolve conflicts and provide crisis intervention. Ability to observe and recognize changes in residents. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with residents.
HOURS OF WORK
40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday. Rotating weekly shifts (0700-1500 /1500-2300)

WAGE
As per HSAA collective agreement: CSW2 start $22.04+comprehensive benefits package after 3 months probation
