JOB POSTING NO.: MGMT23-01 DATE OF POSTING: Monday, January 16-2023 CLOSING DATE & TIME: Friday, January 27-2023 \xe2\x80\x93 12:00 pm (1) FULL-TIME COMMUNITY SERVICES MANAGER The Community Service Manager hired will be managing Community Homes in the greater Belleville area. We are presently seeking applications for the above-noted position. This position will commence as soon as possible. Community Services Manager: To provide direction and the resources required to all Direct Support Professionals to ensure they are supporting people with an intellectual disability to achieve their personal goals, facilitate relationships, develop skills and encourage true participation in their community. Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • This position involves leading and directing a team of staff providing individualized supports and services and actively participating in a progressive management team.
  • Ensure that all staff members have the skills, resources and the passion to support people to enjoy quality of life. For this purpose, quality of life will be measured by eleven plus outcomes and eleven plus supports using \xe2\x80\x9cPersonal Outcome Measures\xe2\x80\x9d.
  • Ensure that the people we support are directing how their individualized services are delivered.
  • Ensure compliance with Ministry of Community and Social Services Quality Assurance Measures (Reg. 299/10), Public Health requirements and all other relevant legislation (e.g. rights, privacy, health & safety).
  • The Community Service Manager will monitor the number of supports and outcomes in place for people by reviewing a person\xe2\x80\x99s recorded documentation on a regular basis.
Requirements/Knowledge:
  • Be knowledgeable regarding organizational policies, procedures, and the application of the Collective Agreement.
  • Must have a sound knowledge and understanding of the direction, mission and vision of Community Living Belleville and Area.
  • Must understand and support the concept of community connections and networking and support the personal outcomes tool as a way of enhancing people\xe2\x80\x99s lives.
  • Must be a creative thinker, willing to implement change, as required.
  • Understanding of the financial mechanisms in place to be able to manage and monitor the budgets of community homes/services as well as the finances for the people supported.
  • Must understand and promote health and safety within the workplace for both staff and people we support.
  • Experience with creating, implementing and supervising behavioural support plans and data collection. Ability to be flexible in availability and work hours.
  • Provide on call support for the agency on a rotational basis which includes weekends. Be available and flexible to respond to emergency and crisis situations within service areas you are responsible for.
  • Be capable of applying sound management principles and providing consistency in direction to staff.
  • Must be able to promote a harmonious and co-operative atmosphere within the community homes and promote active participation of direct support staff in team meetings and open communications at all levels.
Experience and Skills:
  • A minimum of a two-year college diploma in one of the following disciplines: D.S.W., S.S.W., B.S.T., CYW., ECE., and/or a baccalaureate degree from a recognized university in the human services field.
  • High level of competence in navigating and utilizing Microsoft Office programs, AIMS (or similar databases), and ability to learn new programs with ease.
  • A minimum of five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the field of developmental services.
  • Sound knowledge of the Quality Assurance Measures (Ontario Regulation 299/10).
  • Understanding of Person Centered Planning and Personal Outcome Measures
