Job description: The Community Safety Officer is is responsible for keeping peace in the community, assisting residents with issues, and responding to calls within the community Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Patrolling the Saugeen First Nations Reservation
- Responding to calls within the community
- Performing periodic foot patrols
- Assisting members of the community
- Updating various reports and logs
- Computer proficiency and familiarity with Android tablets
- Keen attention to detail
- Confidence to make on the fly decisions
- The ability to stay calm under pressure
- G2/G class license with clean drivers history and no at-fault claims
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have completed Police Foundations or similar law enforcement programs, or have previous experience in enforcement roles such as bylaw
- Clean criminal background check
- Must be legal to work in Canada
- Own or have access to vehicle
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficient in English communication
- French not required
- 12 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Overtime pay
- Saugeen 29, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Clean drivers abstract with no at fault claims
- Secondary School (preferred)
- Bylaw or other enforcement: 1 year (required)
- G2 or G class drivers license (required)
- Day Shift (required)
- Night Shift (required)
- Overnight Shift (required)
