Rural crime is a provincial government priority as well as an ongoing County concern. The Community Safety Coordinator is the primary conduit between the County, the Police and other Law Enforcement, Crime Prevention Groups, and the community.Reporting to the General Manager, Community Services and the Superintendent, Regional Enforcement Services, the Coordinator would be tasked with being in a leading role with the Crime Prevention Committee, aiding in completing the Community Safety Strategy, taking CPTED training, attending crime prevention/reduction conferences and training, and recommending/implementing cutting edge crime reduction strategies. The coordinator would work to identify community safety groups and stakeholders, set up conversation cafes, and deliver crime prevention messaging and training to the community.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
