Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting frontline workers and first responders who are impacted by the overdose crisis? Do you believe in the power of connection, education, and resilience-building? We're looking for a compassionate and community-minded individual to join our team as a Community Resilience Coach.

As a Community Resilience Coach, you'll play a key role in strengthening the wellbeing of those working on the front lines of the overdose crisis. This is a dynamic and relationship-centered position focused on offering support, education, and tools to reduce burnout and foster resilience in those who respond to crisis every day.

The Successful Candidate:



Engage with and support first responders, peer support workers, and frontline staff

Deliver trauma-informed training and educational sessions on resilience, wellness, and stress management

Facilitate group programming such as peer debriefing, reflective practice, and wellness circles

Coordinate care and referrals with community agencies and support services

Assess needs and co-create solutions that strengthen local response capacity

Help build a culture of care, collaboration, and sustainability in overdose response work

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, mental health, or related field--or equivalent professional experience

Experience working in harm reduction, mental health, or frontline crisis settings

Understanding of trauma-informed practices and the realities of the overdose crisis

Strong communication, group facilitation, and relationship-building skills

A collaborative mindset and a commitment to community wellness

Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally

Assets:



Lived experience or direct experience working in overdose response or peer-based programs

Familiarity with local services and supports

Experience working with Indigenous communities using culturally safe approaches

Additional Requirements:



Successful criminal record screening

Must have reliable transportation

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 15 months

Pay: $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week

Work Location: In person
