Community Relations Specialist

Job Description

The Community Relations Specialist will assist in developing and implementing strategies to engage with diverse community stakeholders. This role involves building and maintaining relationships, managing community feedback, expanding partnerships, and supporting marketing and outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on community engagement and marketing.

Community Engagement (40%)




Assist in developing and implementing strategies to engage with diverse community stakeholders, including local businesses, organizations, government agencies, and residents. Collaborate with partners to plan, host, or attend events, workshops, and initiatives that raise awareness of CBI Health's programs and services. Collect and organize market data as directed, and support strategies to enhance community engagement and marketing efforts. Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that attract potential candidates.

Partnership Development (40%)




Help establish and maintain relationships with community groups, educational institutions, and employer associations to promote CBI Health's programs. Conduct outreach activities and serve as a primary contact for partner inquiries, feedback, and concerns, ensuring timely responses. Support the identification and cultivation of new partnerships with local organizations, nonprofits, and businesses. Report on partnership activities and provide insights and recommendations to improve engagement and effectiveness.

Marketing and Outreach (20%)




Assist in creating engaging content for the website, blog, and social media channels, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives. Schedule posts like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter to engage with followers, and monitor social media trends to optimize the organization's online presence. Support the design and distribution of email campaigns, analyzing performance to improve engagement and conversion rates.

What you need to be successful




Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field (or equivalent work experience). 1-3 years of experience in community outreach, partnership development, and program marketing. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building-skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Proficiency in using marketing tool and platforms, including social media, email marketing and website platforms. Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for making a positive impact on the community



Nice-to-haves
