Community Relations Coordinator

Job Description


  • Coordinate community outreach programs and events which include, but are not limited to, engagement, promotion, and education and communications.
  • Coordinate and support internal community needs assessments to identify and better understand the internal community.
  • Assist with promotional and external community development strategies that help strengthen the capacity of individuals and external communities.
  • Identifies opportunities to promote initiatives through public relations/outreach events.
  • Act as a resource person to community members and provide links to resident-led groups.
  • Engage residents to participate in their community and collective actions, while supporting them in this process.
  • Responsible for the set up and tear downs of materials at events.
  • Follow up to be conducted for internal and external outstanding items.
  • Executing the events calendar on a month-to-month basis.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings.
  • Hosting the events
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Must be a self-starter.
Additional Responsibilities
  • The role will be required to travel around the greater Ottawa and Ottawa Valley area.
  • Vehicle will be supplied.
  • Needs to be able to lift, push and pull heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
