The Community Relations & Brand Development Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening the Laser Ottawa brand and fostering relationships with optometrists and community partners. This individual will lead outreach initiatives, enhance brand visibility, and serve as the primary liaison between our surgical centre and referring optometric practices.
Duties
Optometrist Relations
Build, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with local optometrists and referring eye care professionals.
Conduct regular office visits to provide updates on our surgical services, patient care processes, and co-management opportunities.
Support optometrists with educational materials, resources, and patient information.
Coordinate continuing education (CE) events, workshops, and networking opportunities for optometrists.
Act as a professional and approachable liaison between Laser Ottawa and referring providers to ensure smooth patient referrals and communication.
Community Outreach & Brand Awareness
Develop and execute strategies to raise awareness of Laser Ottawa's services within the local community.
Represent the centre at community events, health fairs, and professional gatherings.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute promotional materials and maintain a strong, consistent brand presence.
Manage social media engagement and digital outreach efforts to highlight the centre's expertise and community involvement.
Marketing Support & Data Tracking
Track outreach activities, referral patterns, and engagement metrics to assess the impact of community initiatives.
Provide regular reports and recommendations to management based on outreach results.
Support ongoing marketing campaigns and contribute creative ideas for community engagement and brand growth.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare marketing, community outreach, or business development (experience in eye care, optometry, or ophthalmology is an asset).
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships.
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM or marketing tools.
Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
